Book Review

The Book No One Wants to Read by Beth Bacon

A lonely book with so much personality, this book comes to life and speaks directly to the reader, trying to draw them in – to make them want to read it. All it really wants a friend.

This cleverly engaging book uses simple text, colourful pages and BIG words to challenge the belief that books are boring. Instead, readers are invited to goof off (instead of reading 😉), play games with the book and secretly read cheeky words. Full of mischief and silliness, children will be carried through the pages – feeling like they aren’t really reading, but actually reading all at the same time.

So many reading strategies are explored and misconceptions challenged in this unique book perfect for reluctant readers or anyone who wants to have fun with a book.

Thank you to Pushkin’s Children’s Books for this fun and incredibly valuable book!
