Welcome to Scope for Imagination!

“It’s such an interesting world. It wouldn’t be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There’d be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
― Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Scope for Imagination is inspired by a life-long love of reading. For as long as I can remember, books have been friends. They’ve brought me joy, encouragement, hope and dreams. Inside a book, there’s no limit to who I can be or what I can achieve. Of the many, many books I’ve read, none have stayed with me like the Anne of Green Gables series. Anne is truly a kindred spirit – she becomes immersed in her love of literature and does not hesitate to share it with others. Anne dreams the most wonderful dreams and finds happiness as she pursues her passions.
“Oh, it’s delightful to have ambitions. I’m so glad I have such a lot. And there never seems to be any end to them– that’s the best of it. Just as soon as you attain to one ambition you see another one glittering higher up still. It does make life so interesting.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
First as a teacher and now as a parent, it is my absolute privilege and pleasure to share my love of literature with children. There is an unending wealth of fantastic books for children out in the world and it is wonderful to discover and share these stories with the audience for which they were written. These books themselves are “kindred spirits” and there is nothing better than introducing a child to a new life-long friend.
