Sometimes: A Book of Feelings by Stephanie Stansbie & illustrated by Elisa Pagnelli

With beautiful rhyming text and an honest discussion of emotions, Sometimes: A Book of Feelings explores the ebb and flow, the highs and lows of life. The beautiful metaphor of the sea helps young readers to understand how our feelings develop and change. The gorgeous colours of the brilliant illustrations by Elisa Paganelli reflect the feelings of the brother and sister as they navigate life together. Their positive relationship shows how encouraging having a sibling can be. It is something many children can relate to after a year of spending so much time with their brothers and sisters.

Through rich vocabulary, each emotion is acknowledged and valued. Feeling embarrassed or angry is just as valid as feeling excited or brave. Children will feel seen and understood as they explore the colourful pages. Sometimes: A Book of Feelings is a wonderful picture book for families and classrooms. It is perfect for EYFS and KS1 PSHE lessons. I can’t wait to share it with the little ones in my life.

Thank you to Little Tiger for this gorgeous book!
