Book Review, Non-fiction Books

Great Britons by Imogen Russell Williams & Sara Mulvanny

Great Britons is a fabulous non-fiction book about British people who have really made their mark on the world.

Each double page spread is overflowing with information. The text is engaging with lots of detail. There is plenty to challenge readers in Years 5/6 while children in Lower Key Stage Two would be able to dip and discuss the facts with an adult or their peers.

With fifty biographies, Great Britons would be absolutely perfect for a Year 6 biography unit. So useful as model texts or for research, this book is sure to be used again and again. From Boudicca to Mo Farah, from Mary Shelley to Alan Turing, there is a biography for every topic and interest.

Thank you to Nosy Crow for this one of a kind book!
