Polly Bee Makes Honey by Deborah Chancellor & Julia Groves

Polly Bee Makes Honey is the second in a collection of four titles showing children where their food comes from.

A young girl follows some bees as they work together step by step to create honey. Each page has large, clear illustrations with a few sentences explaining exactly what is happening. There is even more information at the end of the book that will develop children’s understanding.

Polly Bee Makes Honey would be perfect for a Key Stage One topic on bees. Children will be able to identify key words and facts as they plot the straightforward process together. This book will raise environmental awareness and an understanding of how much effort goes into producing our food.
