Find Tom in Time: Ming Dynasty China by Fatti Burke with The British Museum

Find Tom in Time is a series of fantastically fun non-fiction books with a twist! Page after page of puzzle-solving adventures make them incredibly appealing.  They will be snatched up by every child who spots them! With clear historical overviews and detailed facts on every page, they are so much more than just search and find books.

This book is centred on the Ming Dynasty in China. This topic is becoming more and more common in primary schools and China also features in the Oak National Academy History on-line learning curriculum.  Children are taken on a journey across the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, a silk workshop, a printing factory, the Grand Canal and much more.

On every double-page, key vocabulary and interesting facts surround a detailed scene. Readers take in the wonderful illustrations as they search for Tom, his mischievous cat and many other characters. The puzzles are challenging but the pictures are not so small that you can’t make out what’s going on.

Tom and his archaeologist grandmother are clever, brave and adventurous. Readers will love travelling with them through time in this brilliant book!

Thank you to Nosy Crow for this fantastic book!
