This book feels special. With a deep blue, textured hard cover, it is a beautiful non-fiction book for exploring the importance of water with children. It would be best suited to Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 1-4). It is full of essential information about the water cycle, seas/oceans/lakes/rivers, ecosystems in and near the water, and human uses for water. The text of Blue Planet: Life in our Oceans and Rivers is built on accessible vocabulary and makes good use of comparisons to help children understand the size of the various animals. This is a lovely addition for any school library, classroom topic box or home non-fiction collection.
Thank you to Little Tiger Press for this fantastic book!
