Together they enjoy the sunshine and spending time with their grandparents while learning about picking lemons, baking Abuela’s special lemon cake and planting seeds to grow even more lemons. Spanish language is sprinkled naturally throughout the story, pulling readers right into the setting. Dannii Summerfield’s beautiful illustrations bring added warmth and authenticity revealing so many aspects of life in Mallorca.
