Sandy Fin: Operation Splash Landing by Martin Stewart

Inspired by Jacques Cousteau, the adventures of ocean explorer Sandy Fin take readers to a wonderfully imaginative world set in the same universe as the delightful Bridget Vanderpuff series. The sea and shore is the most amazing place – full of fascinating objects, light and shadows and unusual creatures. Sandy Fin and his friend Lily must defend their home with everything they have while collecting special treasures from the deep.

The Museum of Seaside Stories and the whole town of Portwhistle are under threat. The conservation group “Splash Landing” has bought the museum and are planning to build a Seaworld-type theme park. Marine life will be locked up in tiny tanks and, worst of all, Sandy Fin will have to leave his home in the museum. It’s time for the Coastal Rescue Team to jump into action and stop this from happening!

Fantastic characters, a despicable baddy and an action-packed adventurous quest to protect wildlife and their precious home make this story so much fun!
