Evolution by Sarah Darwin & Eva-Maria Sadowski, illustrated by Olga Baumert ~ Blog Tour

In association with the Natural History Museum, London, Dr. Sarah Darwin, the great, great, granddaughter of Charles Darwin, and fellow scientist Dr Eva Maria Sadowski have created EVOLUTION – a stunning journey through Earth’s history.

Find out about the great thinkers who undertook eye-opening adventures, made key discoveries about the world around them and shared their theories to influence future generations. Learn about natural selection: variation, inheritence and the struggle for existence from when life first began to modern times when scientists impact life through things like vaccinations and genetically modified crops.

Each page is packed full of information, engaging illustrations that really aid understanding and challenging concepts for readers to consider. Key threads are followed through each point in history and themes such as climate change, extinction and evolution of species are explained and developed.

This is a fascinating book perfect for upper key stage two classes as well as key stage two and key stage three libraries. Young scientists will love exploring the highly engaging double-page spreads. Personally, I wish I’d had this book when teaching Evolution and Inheritence in Year 6 Science. So many questions are answered so clearly with links to history, current issues and the future of our world.

Thank you to What on Earth Books & Laura Smythe for this outstanding book!
