The Boy Who Rescued a Rainbow by Corrina Campbell ~ Blog Tour

Be STRONG, BRAVE and FEARLESS but what does that really mean?

The Boy Who Rescued a Rainbow is the beautiful story of a child full of adventures. When he finds a damaged rainbow, he carefully repairs it until it is better than new. Together, they go on many more adventures until, one day, the rainbow disappears. Faced with loss, confusion and anger, the boy finds a way to carry on and be STRONG, BRAVE and FEARLESS again. He realises it’s ok to be sad and even to cry. He discovers that he’ll always have memories of the time he and the rainbow spent together. Themes of love, loss, grief and inner strength are explored through wonderful imagery. The hope and promise of a rainbow shows readers that there is always a way forward.

Corrina Campbell’s illustrations are what make this book so special. Warm and inviting, they draw the reader into the boy’s imagination, revealing every emotion. Children will develop empathy as they see the boy’s reaction to his loss and the power of memories and moving on.
