How it Works: The Body from the wonderful team at Little Tiger is a great book for introducing little readers to the human body. A sturdy board book, the cut out pages show what’s inside layer by layer.
Key vocabulary is emphasised on labelled diagrams while clear yet suitably detailed text explains the most important information. Age appropriate technical language is used in a manner that respects children’s ability to understand scientific concepts and desire to know the real words for things.
This book would be a great addition to any EYFS or KS2 topic on the human body or for children to develop their language and self-awareness at home.
