Book Review, Chapter Book (7-9)

Panda at the Door by Sarah Horne

A panda who loves Mary Poppins and wants nothing more than to be a nanny for its own special family – an absolutely brilliant premise for a sweet, fun story with a silly twist.

Pudding the Panda is the star attraction at the Edinburgh Zoo. She is spectacular at making children smile. She loves Gerald, her keeper, and Mary Poppins – both have taught her so much! When zoo management decides Pudding will be sent to China, she has no choice but to run away.

What follows is a laugh-out-loud adventure with a family in trouble. Callum Campbell has lots of problems. Number one – a bully who won’t leave him alone. Add to that his parents arguing and a boring birthday present and it’s clear he needs help. When Pudding shows up, she does all she can to put things right.

The first in a new series for age 7+, Panda at the Door is sure to be a huge hit!
