Mr Dog and a Deer Friend by Ben Fogle with Steve Cole & illustrated by Nikolas Ilic

In this fifth book in the series, Mr Dog is back helping animals in need. Whenever there’s an animal who needs a friend, he is always happy to lend a hand!

In this adventure mystery, Mr Dog finds a sweet young deer in trouble. After rescuing her, he does all he can to help her be reunited with her mother. It’s not straightforward as there are grumpy landowners and developers to contend with making the forest unsafe. Along the way, the brave duo meet many other animals who help them with clues to their mystery. A badger, stallion and alpaca are among the wonderful creatures they encounter.

Mr Dog is a charming, loveable dog who faces danger head-on. His bravery and clever deduction skills make him a great role model and fantastic hero. Readers will want to read all of his adventures and wait eagerly for the next!

Written by adventurer Ben Fogle and children’s author Steve Cole, these stories reflect Ben’s own sprit of positivity and courage with Steve’s flair for language and creativity. The series reminds me of The Littlest Hobo from Canadian television in my childhood.

Thank you to Harper Collins Children’s Books and NetGalley for this fun book!
