Maisie vs the Himalayas by Jack Jackman

I adored Maisie vs Antarctica – full of adventurous spirit, delightful humour, heart-stopping danger and the most unexpected magic! The sequel, Maisie vs the Himalayas, is just as brilliant! Maisie’s dad is writing his latest “How to…” book which means there’s lots of exploring to do. They head off to Bhutan in the Himalayas in search of treasure. Maisie’s never sure if what her dad thinks is interesting will actually turn out to be something special but she’s up for anything and ready to get stuck in. Maisie is an inspiration to kids who act first and think later, with fantastic results. She might end up in a bit of bother along the way but what she discovers is always worth it in the end.

This is a brilliant series for Year 4+. The books are long enough to really get into with plenty of peril and fun. Kids will be asking for “just one more chapter” and won’t be able to put it down.

Thank you to Nosy Crow for a copy of this fab book!
