Grimwood: Attack of the Stink Monster by Nadia Shireen is a funny, silly, slightly bonkers story for kids who love animals getting into scrapes and finding their way out with hilarious results. Join foxes Nancy and Ted with all their woodland friends as they set off to save Grimwood from a horrible stink monster!
Signs of Big Foot, a squirrel wedding, a deadly yet unassuming eagle and a “Don’t Call Me Cute!” bunny named Willow add to this engaging adventure bursting with personality. Young readers will love the combination of illustrations that make you giggle with a fast-paced and oh so appealing story line. There’s no guessing what’s around the next corner!
Attack of the Stink Monster is the third book in this series for age 7+.
I had the opportunity to ask author/illustrator, Nadia Shireen, about the notorious villain.
Everyone loves a villain! What inspired the nasty, thieving stink monster in Grimwood: Attack of the Stink Monster?
Hmm, well villains are always more villainy when we can’t properly see them, aren’t they? So I wanted to write a baddie who was full of mystery. We’re not really sure what or who the baddie is… until the end of the book, of course.
