Animal FACTopia!: Follow the Trail of 400 Beastly Facts ~ Blog Tour

The fantastically fascinating Factopia is back with a special focus on animals! The fourth book in this brilliant non-fiction series written by Julie Beer provides children with bite-sized chunks of incredibly engaging information.

One of the best things about these book is that they’re a bit like “Choose Your Own Adventure”. Each fact is linked to the next by a common element. Children can follow on fact to fact with the opportunity to break off and follow the thread of specific topic on another page in the book. This non-linear reading experience allows children to explore their interests and dip in and out at will, creating a true reading for pleasure experience.

The Andy Smith’s illustrations are immense! Bright, colourful, and huge – they are cleverly combined with the facts to draw readers’ eyes around the entire page. With 400 facts and 200 pages, this is a book that will last. Children will be able to come back to it again and again, each time finding something new and completely fascinating.

So many children are interested in animals making this the perfect focus for a Factopia book! Elephants to squirrels to butterflies to walruses, young readers will love exploring the creatures in this book! My daughter grabbed this book as soon as it arrived. Her favourite fact: A newborn female African elephant weighs about as much as 28 newborn human babies. That’s a big baby elephant!!!

A huge thank you to Britannica Books & Laura Smythe PR for this fabulous book!
