Pizazz vs Everyone by Sophy Henn ~ Blog Tour

Pizazz is not an ordinary girl – in fact she’s completely extraordinary. She wears a too-big cape, fights super baddies, belongs to a family of superheroes and finds it all really embarrassing! The rest of her family all love being super (except for Aunty Fury who turned into a Baddie).

Pizazz finds the world of being super isn’t all black and white – good and bad. She has some secret Baddie friends and sometimes feels caught in the middle. When her Gramps gets hurt and ends up in the hospital because he was trying to fix something someone else made a mess of, she gets angry. It’s not fair. She has big feelings that she’s not sure how to handle. Maybe she should become a Baddie – then she could do what she wants, eat what she wants, wear a cool costume and be angry at the world.

Her guinea pig, Stink-Eye, is not impressed… well, she’s never really impressed with anything but her stink-eye has turned into more of a glare. With the help of her friends and family, Pizazz realises that being Bad isn’t the answer. Being Good might be tough sometimes but it’s worth it to do the right thing.

The Pizazz series is brilliantly illustrated for children age 7+. Designed in a fun black & white comic style, there is enough text to really get the story moving with huge illustrations to bring the characters to life. Pizazz’s voice as narrator is funny and honest. Just like any other child finding their way in the world, she has many ups and downs but ulitmately wants to do what’s right. Pizazz vs Everyone is the fifth book in the series.
