A Robot Ate My Grandma by Dave Cousins & illustrated by Catalina Echeverri

A Robot Ate My Grandma is the third book in a fun, laugh-out-loud series about a family with a very clever grandmother who invents robots to make their lives easier. In this instalment, Jake and his twin sister, Jess, are taking part in the school performance of Little Red Riding Hood. When they go to visit their own grandma, the story hits a little too close to home! It seems that Grandma has gone missing and there’s a robot in her place! When their robot babysitter starts malfunctioning, the children soon realise they have a mystery to solve!

Nothing is quite as it seems and no one is to be trusted as they search for clues and try to decode secret messages. They need to work together and out-wit the baddies to bring their family back together safely. With mishaps and giggles around every corner, this modern-day Little Red Riding Hood is a fantastic story for children starting to branch out into longer novels on their own.
